Biography

Deauhijela “Dee” Jackson is the founder and owner of Deelicious Scrubs and More®, LLC, bringing more than 22 years of corporate, leadership, project management, technical, and insurance experience to her work as an entrepreneur and community leader.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dee relocated to Texas in 1999 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas Woman’s University. While attending TWU, she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, further developing her commitment to leadership, service, and community involvement throughout Denton and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Throughout her corporate career, Dee has developed a diverse professional background encompassing project management, corporate management, business operations, customer relations, process improvement, problem-solving, technical analysis, and insurance claims management. Her experience includes managing complex projects and workloads, analyzing detailed information, negotiating resolutions, collaborating across departments, working with external business partners, and communicating complex information to customers and stakeholders.

Dee is also a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt, with training and practical experience in process improvement, operational efficiency, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and developing effective business solutions.

Her extensive insurance experience has further strengthened her expertise in property claims, policy and coverage interpretation, estimating, complex claim resolution, negotiations, contractor and public adjuster relations, and customer education. She has also worked collaboratively with attorneys and other legal professionals on insurance-related matters, including claims involving complex coverage questions, disputes, negotiations, documentation, and litigation-related issues. This experience has strengthened her ability to evaluate complex information, communicate effectively with legal and business professionals, manage competing interests, and make well-supported decisions within highly regulated environments.
In September 2016, Dee combined her extensive corporate experience with her passion for skincare and holistic wellness to establish Deelicious Scrubs and More®, LLC. She founded the company after recognizing a need for quality, earth-based skincare and holistic wellness products that could remain accessible to customers across a variety of budgets.

In April 2017, Deelicious Scrubs and More® became a vendor at the Denton Community Market, providing another avenue for Dee to serve the local community while expanding the company's presence throughout Denton and the surrounding area.

In addition to her corporate and entrepreneurial experience, Dee is a Certified Aromatherapist and is currently continuing her education toward becoming a Certified Herbalist. These credentials support her vision of continuing to expand Deelicious Scrubs and More® with thoughtfully crafted skincare, body care, and wellness products.

With more than two decades of professional experience, Dee brings together corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, strategic thinking, project management, process improvement, insurance expertise, legal and professional collaboration, and community service. Her professional and entrepreneurial journey reflects a continued commitment to growth, education, leadership, and creating meaningful opportunities to serve the community.
